Our
large crochet hooks are handmade of hickory, maple, walnut,
and cherry woods by one American craftsman, which insures consistent
quality. They have a handrubbed satin finish and feature
a wide, deep throat for ease in working with fabric strips. This
also allows for a stronger hook. Wooden hooks won't slip because
of the more open hook; won't sweat because the wood absorbs
heat from hands, rather than repels it; and they are beautiful
to look at! Use a wooden hook once, and you'll never use plastic
again! |
To
insure correct tension while crocheting with fabric strips, use the
following guidelines for correct hook size:
Size
Q (5/8" diameter) $16.95
each
Use with 3" 5" wide fabric strips. This hook
is ideal for large baskets, thick rugs, and thick chairpads.
Size
Inbetween (1/2"
diameter)
$16.95
each
Our most popular size, this is NOT an industry-sized hook. This specialty
hook is made by Homespun Treasures and is actually the size our foremothers
used while crocheting with their rag strips. It is great for use with
1 1/2" 3" strips. This hook is the perfect choice
for most of our projects.
Size
P (3/8"
diameter)
$16.95
each
Use with 1 1/2" or narrower strips. This hook is the perfect
choice for placemats and other thinstrip projects.
Set
of 3 (Q,
Inbetween, P)
$45.95
Best
buy! Owning this set will give you the tools you need to make
ANY fabric crochet project.
Unless
otherwise noted, any hook can be used with any pattern, just
be sure
to match your fabric strip width with the proper size hook!
